learning how to ride - lesson 4 road with stop signs
Take a look at your route that you have now mastered and extend it by adding one or two stop sign intersections. Make sure your new route is still free of the following:
- Major roads
- Traffic
- Stop lights
- Speed limits over 60km
This route can be a bit bigger (3-5km). You want to practice using the clutch and gas at those stop signs you added in. Try not to stall the bike and learn your bike's friction zone (the point where you let out the clutch and the bike wants to go forward as the engine slows down). Your goal here is to learn where the friction zone is and how much gas to use and went to apply it.
Once you are confident in knowing where the friction zone is and you can stop and start your bike without stalling it we can move onto lesson 5 - riding with other drivers on the road.
