motorcycle lessons
Before you start your first ride make sure you have all your safety equipment on (helmet, boots, gloves, jacket and pants) as well as your drivers license or learners permit, license plate, and insurance papers. Also, check your bike to ensure everything is in working order (tire pressure, brakes, horn, engine kill switch, lights, turn signals, sufficient gas and oil, etc).
First, either get a really good book on how to ride a motorcycle or print off and read the lessons outlined in this website. Take your printouts and/or book and several pylons to a large empty parking lot, preferably one with few lamp posts and other hard objects you could possibly hit, such as walls or cars.
Once you have a good practice area spotted out you can start with lesson 1 -getting a feel for the bike and it's controls without the engine running.
